Chiwabhangyang 10KM Trail Run Gains Momentum For 2025 Edition
Gyalshing, August 30 (IPR):A preliminary coordination meeting pertaining to the Second Edition of Chiwabhangyang 10Km Trail Run 2025, Uttarey to Chiwabhangyang, was organised by Dentam Tourism Development Society at Titanic Park Uttarey, today.
Area MLA Maneybung-Dentam-cum-Advisor to the Tourism Department, Government of Sikkim Mr Sudesh Kumar Subba chaired the meeting accompanied by Press Advisor to HCM Mr Birendra Tamling, Advisor Science and Technology Mr AB Thapa, Advisor Commerce and Industries Mr SM Tamling, Chairman SAPCO Mr JB Tamling, OSD to Area MLA Maneybung-Dentam Mr Diwash Rai, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dentam Mr NK Karki, Marathon Man of Sikkim Mr Amar Subba, Zilla Members and Panchayats of Maneybung-Dentam.
At the meeting, Area MLA Maneybung-Dentam Mr Subba, emphasised the well-coordinated and timely efforts of all stakeholders to make the Chiwabhangyang 10K Trail Run a grand success.
Mr Subba mentioned the keen interest of the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, in the promotion of adventure and sports tourism in the state and advised attendees to work collectively in favour.
Speaking on the agendas of the meeting, Mr Subba emphasised the identification and allocation of the preliminary efforts crucial for timely intervention and successful convergence of the event by the constituted committee. He urged Self Help Groups(SHGs) and various communities of the constituency to extend their support again for the second edition of the event.
During the open house discussion, attendees delved into agendas that included the appropriate date for the event, categories of the participants, responsibilities of the stakeholders and engaged departments,
Logistics support, accommodation, transportation and other vital arrangements essential for ensuring the successful convergence of the event.
It was also mentioned that, to ease the options for accommodation, a designated Tent Pitching area along with the requisite arrangements needed at the campsite will be made available.
The meeting concluded with the action points outlined by the chair for execution up to the second tentative meeting.
Also present at the meeting were officials from TIC Gyalshing and Dentam, Sikkim Police Uttarey PS and Dentam PS, Dentam PHC, 36 Bn SSB and 72 Bn SSB Uttarey, Forest Department, Dentam Tourism Development Society (DTDS), Pelling Tourism Development Association (PTDA), Hee-Martam Tourism Development Society, stakeholder and other eminent personalities of the region.
