Chief Secretary Chairs Meeting on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025 Celebration
Gangtok, October 18 (IPR): The Chief Secretary, Mr R Telang, chaired a preparatory meeting to review the arrangements for the celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 October.
The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the Tashiling Secretariat today.
In his address, Chief Secretary Mr R Telang urged all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme. He emphasised that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas stands as a reminder of the spirit of unity and collective effort that strengthens the nation.
The meeting discussed the planned activities for the occasion in detail, and each department was assigned specific responsibilities to ensure proper coordination. Officials put forth their views and suggestions to ensure that the observance is carried out in an orderly and effective manner.
