Namchi, June 15(IPR): Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang handed over ex-gratia, SGAY allotment orders, financial grants, and other relief materials to the affected families of Majua landslide at the relief camp set up in Tourism Centre, Yangang Helipad, today.
The Chief Minister was on a tour to Rangang Yangang Constituency to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Majua landslide which occurred on 10 June and claimed the lives of three people, several houses, and livestock.
During the visit, he announced that a half-acre of cultivable land would be provided to those families whose houses were completely swept away by the calamity and Five lakh each to the deceased family member. He also directed the officials of the Roads and Bridges Department to restore the road linking to Majua as soon as possible for continuous connectivity and assured that the impacted families would receive all the help from the State Government to return to normalcy.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker cum Area MLA Mrs Raj Kumari Thapa, Cabinet Ministers, Advisors, MP Lok Sabha, Zilla Adhakshya, along with the officials of line departments and the public of Yangang Rangang.
