Mangan, July 31 (IPR): On the final leg of his visit to all districts, Chairman, IPR Department, Mr Ashit Rai visited District Information Centre, IPRD, Mangan, today.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang, the Chairman, immediately after taking charge, undertook the tour to the district offices of IPR Department to interact with the employees and get a first hand account of the activities, achievements and challenges.
On his arrival at Mangan DAC complex, the Chairman was welcomed by the District Information Officer and staff of IPR Department.
The Chairman then convened a meeting of the officials of the department, where he was briefed in detail about the ongoing activities and accomplishments. The Chairman also took note of the challenges being faced by the district office, which included space constraints and other shortcomings.
After lending a patient hearing to the submissions made by the officials, the Chairman acknowledged the crucial role of IPRD and the efforts being put by the officials and staff in every assignment. The Chairman shared about his past experience as a journalist and added that he is aware of the challenges faced by the district offices to a great extent. During his address, Chairman Mr Rai expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for bestowing upon him the responsibility to serve in the department.
The meeting concluded with the officials of the department expressing gratitude to the Chairman for his visit to the district office.
