Census 2027 Review Meeting Held at Soreng DAC
Soreng, May 6 (IPR): The District Collector (Soreng), Mr Dhiraj Subedi, chaired a review meeting on the ongoing Census 2027 at the Office of the District Collector, District Administrative Centre, Soreng, today.
The meeting reviewed progress reports submitted by the concerned Charge Officers of Soreng Sub-Division, Soreng Nagar Panchayat (SNP) and Mangalbaria Sub-Division engaged in the enumeration process across the district.
Following the presentations, the District Collector commended the overall performance of the teams and emphasised the importance of ensuring accuracy in data collection. He then directed supervisors to closely monitor enumerators and validate entries.
The meeting also discussed various field-level challenges and deliberated on measures for their timely resolution. It was decided that the House Listing Block (HLB) would be scheduled for May 7.
The meeting was attended by ADC (Soreng) Mr DR Bista, SDM (HQ) Mr Prem K Subba, SDM (Soreng) Ms Sakchum Lepcha, AD (IT) Mr Amir Bhandari, Statistical Investigator-II Mr Mrinal Sarkar, ASI (UDD) Mr Gaurav Subba, Multi-Task Staff (MTJ) Mr Kishan Chettri and other technical assistants.
