CNO Visits Mangalbaria Sub Division, Soreng District on his 2nd day visit
Soreng, June 25 (IPR):
On the second day of his visit to Soreng District, the Central Nodal Officer for the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Mr R Arulanandan, visited the Mangalbaria Sub-Division, Soreng District to conduct a field inspection of water resource management and conservation initiatives being implemented under various flagship programmes of the Central Government.
As part of the visit, Mr Arulanandan inspected the Minor Irrigation Channel at Budang, observed the ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works at Chuchen Takuthang, and reviewed the Water Source Development project under the Mangalbaria Block. These visits were aimed at assessing the physical progress, quality of implementation, and alignment with the objectives of sustainable water conservation and rural water supply.
During the visit, Mr R Arulanandan oversaw a field water quality test conducted at the site to assess the suitability of the local water sources for drinking and irrigation purposes. Following this, he paid a courtesy visit to the Sub-Divisional Administrative Centre at Mangalbaria, where he interacted with SDM Mangalbarey, officials and reviewed the ongoing implementation of various water-related schemes under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
Present during the visits were BDO (Mangalbaria) Mr Man Deep Subba, AE (RDD) Mr Kamal Sharma, Technical Officer Mr Anoop Tiwari, AE (BAC, Soreng) Mr Divyashis Ramudamu, Panchayat Inspectors and officials from Rural Development Department.
