Pakyong, October 4 (IPR): MLA Gnathang Machong, Mrs Pamin Lepcha, distributed the Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana cheques for Gnathang GPU under the Gnathang Machong Constituency at Gnathang GPK today.
A total of 75 cheques were distributed to eligible beneficiaries. These beneficiaries are among the 1,000 beneficiaries covered under the Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana in the Gnathang Machong Constituency.
Speaking at the programme, Mrs Lepcha expressed appreciation to Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang for implementing welfare initiatives aimed at providing financial assistance and support to women and families across the State.
She stated that the Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana is aimed at providing direct financial assistance to eligible mothers and strengthening their economic security. She said the initiative recognises the important role of women in families and communities and seeks to support their well-being and financial independence.
The programme was attended by the Zilla Panchayat member, BDO, Senior VAA and staff, Social Welfare Inspector, along with officials and residents.
