Amitabha School Hosts Mini Olympics Event at Paljor Stadium
Gangtok, October 20 (IPR)
Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, along with Madam Krishna Rai, attended the Amitabha Mini Olympics 2024 as the Chief Guest at Paljor Stadium today.
The event began with a welcome address by Ms Pema Dolker Thakarpa, Founder, Director and Principal of Amitabha School, followed by the unfurling of the school flag and the singing of the school song.
The Chief Guest officially declared the Mini Olympics 2024 open. The event included sports activities and cultural performances.
Parents participated in events such as couple races, tug-of-war, and a group hula hoop challenge.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Sushila Rani Garimala Headmistress of Amitabha School, followed by the presentation of certificates and medals to winners and participants.
Also present were Mr Samdup Lepcha, Minister for Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, and Printing and Stationery Departments, Ms Pamin Lepcha MLA and Advisor of Social Welfare and Women and Child Development Departments, along with grandparents, parents, teachers, staff, and students.
