Advisor and Chairman assumes office at Sikkim Khadi and Village Industries Board

Advisor Sikkim Khadi and Village Industries Board (SKVIB) Mr DB Thatal and Chairman SKVIB Mr Deepak Kumar Gurung have officially assumed Office here at Khadi Bhawan in Deorali today.
Advisor SKVIB Mr DB Thatal in his keynote address talked about Khadi being integral part of India achieving Independence. Citing the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr BR Ambedkar, the Advisor stressed on the element of self-reliant through Khadi which led to independence of the country.
Further, the Advisor assured that no stone will be left unturned on tackling the grievances faced by the officials in their respective khadi centres. The Advisor praised the efforts of Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang towards promotion of 'One Family and One Entrepreneur' wherein every house produces an entrepreneur leading towards a self-reliant state.
The Advisor urged the Officers and officials to work towards regenerating Khadi industries by working hard as a unit. The Advisor also assured the officials that he will visit the Khadi centres personally to see their grievances and prepare a report to the Government to solve those issues.
Chairman SKVIB Mr Deepak Kumar Gurung in his address reiterated the words of Advisor by stating the importance of Khadi towards independence of the country. The Chairman urged the officials to come forward with their grievances and to work together as a team to regenerate Khadi industry.
Principal CEO SKVIB Mr Gyurmie Yousal in his address gave a brief history of Khadi industry in the State. He apprised the Advisor and Chairman about the aims and objectives of the Board and the administrative set-up and it's composition in detail. He also gave detailed report on activities of the Board and its current status.
An interactive session was conducted between the Advisor, Chairman and Khadi Board officials from different centres in the State wherein grievances of the officials were discussed.
The day saw the presence of Deputy Executive Officer SKVIB, Assistant Executive Officer SKVIB and officials from Khadi centres around the State.
