Namchi, May 19 (IPR): ADC Namchi Mr Subash Ghimiray chaired a meeting with the representatives of recognized political parties at District Administrative Centre Namchi, today. The meeting was aimed on the appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for each Assembly Constituency, the ongoing Electoral Registration process, and addressing on-ground concerns raised by political parties. During the meeting, Mr Subash Ghimiray explained that the purpose of the meeting was to improve coordination with political parties and strengthen the electoral process. He urged them to submit the list of their appointed BLAs and Supervisors at the earliest, in line with the direction of Election Commission of India. He stressed the vital role of BLAs in supporting the claims and objections process and ensuring proper verification of voter details. He further said that their involvement would help to ease electoral process at ground level. In the meeting, the representatives of political parties also put forth their suggestions and concerns about issues at the ground level, aiming for smoother and more transparent electoral practices.
