ADC Conducts Final Training Session for PwD Polling Team
Gangtok, April 16 (IPR): Mr Rohan Agawane, Additional District Collector of Gangtok, conducted the final training session today for the PwD polling party in Gangtok district at the mini-conference hall of the District Administration Centre in Sichey.
A total of 13 PwD officers (8 males and 5 females), who will staff the sole polling station in the Gangtok district at Chintan Bhawan, attended the session.
During the training, Mr Agawane assessed the polling team's readiness and briefed them on their duties for polling day.
He thoroughly explained the roles and responsibilities of the presiding and polling officers on polling day.
The ADC reviewed the necessary documentation in detail, including the presiding officer's report, tendered vote/ballot, challenge vote (Form 14), Form 14A, Form 17C, test vote under 49MA, various envelopes used on election day, and the declaration form to be completed by the polling team.
The meeting also included hands-on training with EVMs and VVPATs, featuring a mock poll and a realistic poll, along with the documentation of various election-related papers.
