Mangan, 7th July 2020:

A Day for Mother Earth’ was celebrated at Forest Annex Building, Upper Zimchung, Mangan, North Sikkim organized by North Territorial Division, Forests and Environment Deptt. with great zest and fervour taking up environment friendly activities in the North District with the active participation of DC North, SP North, DFO (T) North, ACF (T) North, other division's forest officials, field staff and JFMC members by planting saplings of flowering species like agelia at the premises of the building.

One of the unique features of this programme of dedicating seven minutes of no vehicular emission in Sikkim commencing from 11.00 am to 11.07 am was also observed in the district with remarkable success
