79th Independence Day observed at Kabi Tingda Division Administrative Center

Mangan, 15 August (IPR): 79th Independence Day was observed with various programs at Kabi Tingda section Administrative Center of Mangan district. Regional MLA and Sikkim Government Health, Family Welfare and Culture Department Mr. TT Bhutia was the chief guest at the ceremony organized at Mahaku level.
In the beginning, MLA Shri Bhutia hoisted the national flag with the national anthem at the section administrative center premises. Guard of Honor was awarded by police of poet Outpost at this time.
Then, the main event held at the conference room of the section administrative center started by lighting the lamp. The cake was cut from the sleeve of special guests including the chief guest, celebrating the glorious occasion of independence.
In the program, Mahakuma Officer Mrs. Monika Rai and Sector Development Officer Mr. Tansi Wangyal Bhutia read the message given to the citizens of the state by Governor Mr. Omprakash Mathur and Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang (Golay).
Patriotic song was also presented by the staff of Mahakuma office and section administrative center at the function.
A total of 8 members from the program were honored with the prestigious 'Shravankumar' award started by the Sikkim government from this year. Awards honored Mrs. Tenzing Dichen Dhopathapa, Mr. Karma Dorji Bhotia, Mr. Rinche Sherpa, Mrs. Chumje Lepcha, Mr. Dawa Chhiring Lepcha, Mr. Asuk Bhutia, Mr. Chhangchup Bhotia and Mrs. Dema Lepcha. The Section Development Officer highlighted his brief address on the award in detail.
Speaking at the program, Chief Guest, MLA Shri Bhutia gave clear information about the Shravan Kumar Award started by the Sikkim Government. This is the best idea of Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang. Also urged members to utilize the cash received in the prize. He expressed his congratulations to all the awarded and suggested to continue taking care of his parents.
In the program, 5 teachers and 3 retired teachers working in the education department under the poet section administrative center were also honored. Also, the staff who are providing excellent service to other departments were also honored.
Mahakuma Adhikari (SDM) Mrs. Monika Rai, Section Development Officer (BDO) Mr. Tansi Wangyal Bhutia, SHO Phudong Mr. Vicky Sundas, District Panchayatgan, Panchayat President, Members, SHG Member, Asa and Aganwadi staff, Poet BAC and Mahakuma Office Officers, staff and others were present. The program was conducted by Additional Director, RDD Mr. Rinjing Namgyal Bhutia.
