77th Republic Day Celebrations commenced with the Flag Unfurling at DAC Pakyong
Pakyong, January 26 (IPR): The Minister for Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Departments-cum-MLA, Mr Raju Basnett, officiated the unfurling of the National Flag during the 77th Republic Day celebration, held at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong, today.
The ceremony commenced with the Chief Guest unfurling the National Flag, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem and a Guard of Honour presented by the Police Department.
Also present during the ceremony were Zilla Upadhakshya, Ms Prabha Pradhan, District Collector, Pakyong, Mr Rohan Agawane, Senior Superintendent of Police, Pakyong, Mrs Paru Ruchal, ADC Pakyong, Mr Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, SDM (HQ), Mr Thendup Lepcha and SDM Pakyong, Mr Dak Man Subba, along with officials from various departments.
