2,137 Enumeration Forms Distributed on Day One of SIR 2026 in Gyalshing District
Gyalshing, May 30 (IPR): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of Electoral Rolls, undertaken by the Election Commission of India to ensure a clean, accurate and updated electoral roll, commenced in Gyalshing District today. As part of the exercise, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) began house-to-house visits across polling station areas for the distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms.
On the first day of the campaign, a total of 2137 Enumeration Forms were distributed across the district till 5 pm. The Assembly Constituency-wise distribution is as follows:
AC-01 Yuksam Tashiding: 353 forms
AC-02 Yangthang: 415 forms
AC-03 Maneybong Dentam: 1,040 forms
AC-04 Gyalshing Bernyak: 329 forms
The house-to-house verification and distribution drive will continue until June 28, 2026. During their visits, BLOs will reach every household to distribute Enumeration Forms and assist electors in verifying and updating their electoral details.
Electors are requested to carefully verify particulars such as their name, age, address, photograph, EPIC number and family details before submitting the duly filled forms.
The Special Intensive Revision aims to ensure the inclusion of all eligible citizens in the electoral roll, remove names of deceased, shifted and duplicate electors, correct errors in voter information and maintain the accuracy and transparency of the electoral rolls.
Electors are urged to extend full cooperation to the BLOs during the house-to-house verification process and submit their Enumeration Forms within the prescribed timeline.
