1,05,818 Enumeration Forms Distributed Under SIR 2026 in Gangtok District
Gangtok, June 14 (IPR): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of Electoral Rolls in Gangtok District continues to progress steadily, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) intensifying field outreach to facilitate the distribution of Enumeration Forms and ensure comprehensive electoral roll coverage.
As per today’s status report, a cumulative total of 1,05,818 Enumeration Forms has been distributed across the district, covering 86.57 per cent of the total electorate of 1,22,240 electors. The ongoing exercise aims to facilitate verification and updation of electoral details to ensure an accurate and inclusive electoral roll.
The constituency-wise distribution of Enumeration Forms is as follows:
16-Tumen-Lingi : 16,408
17-Khamdong-Singtam : 11,829
23-Shyari : 13,882
24-Martam-Rumtek : 16,996
25-Upper Tadong : 9,612
26-Arithang : 9,205
27-Gangtok : 11,009
28-Upper Burtuk : 13,084
32-Sangha : 3,793
In addition, 28,645 Enumeration Forms have been digitised, while 673 forms submitted by electors are pending verification by BLOs.
The distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms will continue till June 28, 2026, as part of the ongoing revision exercise. The District Election Office has urged electors to extend cooperation to BLOs and ensure timely submission of duly filled Enumeration Forms for smooth completion of the revision process.
