(NDZP) observes Zilla Panchayat Fest 2025 under the theme Tradition, Talent and Togetherness
Namchi District Zilla Panchayat (NDZP) observes Zilla Panchayat Fest 2025 under the theme Tradition, Talent and Togetherness.
Namchi, 27 August ( IPR):
Zilla Adhakshya Namchi Ms Anjeeta Rajalim, inaugurated the Zilla Fest 2025 today, which featured the launch of the Self Help Groups (SHG) Haat, an Inter-departmental Table Tennis and Singing Competition among eight participating departments of the district, as well as a felicitation ceremony honouring the outgoing staff members.
The programme commenced with the formal inauguration of the SHG Haat, an initiative aimed at promoting local entrepreneurship and economic empowerment by providing SHG groups a platform to showcase and market their products, thereby strengthening grassroots livelihood.
This was followed by the Inter-departmental Table Tennis and Singing Competitions to foster team-spirit, talent and recreational engagement among employees from participating departments of the district.
The event also featured a felicitation ceremony, where outgoing staff members were honoured for their dedication and valuable contribution during the tenure of their service.
The felicitation was accorded to:
• Mr Mingma Dhendup Sherpa
• Mr BK Rai
• Ms Sandhya Pradhan
• Mr BB Tamang
• Mr Sanjeev Rajalim
Zilla Adhakshya, in her address highlighted the significance of the celebration, emphasizing the need to preserve and promote one’s culture and traditions as a foundation of identity and unity in a community.
She extended her heartfelt congratulations to all the participating teams for their enthusiasm and spirt and commended everyone for their hard work and contribution in making the event a success.
Furthermore, she lauded the commitment and invaluable service of the outgoing staffs urging them to continue serving as a source of inspiration and guidance to many aspiring youth of the state.
The programme also had the presence of (OSD) Namthang-Rateypani Mr Mingma Dhendup Sherpa as a special guest, who was also felicitated during the programme along with ADC (Namchi) Dr CP Rai, Zilla Panchayats, representatives from various SHG groups, staff and members from NDZP, esteemed guests and participants from other departments of the district.

Women's Table Tennis Category
• Ms Ranjita Rai ( Department of Sports and Youth Affairs)
