"ONE DAY AT SCHOOL" Program Organized by Culture Department, Soreng District
The Culture Department, Soreng District, conducted a “One Day at School” program at Khanisirbong Senior Secondary School, Soreng District, with the aim of creating an engaging and lively environment through cultural and interactive activities. The program focused on direct student involvement, creativity, and meaningful interaction rather than a purely formal approach.
The entire program was successfully planned and supervised under the guidance of the Assistant Director, Mr. Prakash Shanker, whose leadership ensured the smooth execution of all activities.
The event was hosted by Mr. Prashant Biswakarma, who managed the flow of the program efficiently and maintained an energetic connection with the audience throughout. The program began with a welcome speech delivered by the school authorities, setting a positive tone for the day.
This was followed by a brief address by the Assistant Director, Mr. Prakash Shanker, on behalf of the Culture Department, where he highlighted the purpose and significance of such initiatives. The smooth coordination of the program was further supported by the dedicated efforts of members, including Mrs. Basanti Maya Gurung.
An interactive quiz session was then conducted for students of Classes 6–8, 9–10, and 11–12, along with a general round, and was hosted by Mr. Meekash Pradhan and Mr. Smaran Pradhan. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, creating a lively and engaging learning environment, with effective handling and coordination by the organising members.
The program also featured a guitar session by Mr. Ranjit Manger Thapa, which was well received by the audience. In addition to his performance, he provided a brief introductory lesson on guitar and music, making the session both entertaining and educational.
A unique and creative drama activity was conducted by Mr. Prashant Biswakarma, who spontaneously developed a short story and invited students to act it out. This activity encouraged creativity, confidence, and participation among the students, making it one of the highlights of the program.
Towards the end of the program, a prize distribution ceremony was held. Stationery items were distributed to students and teachers who actively participated in the quiz, as well as to those who took part in the drama and other interactive segments, with coordinated support from members, including Mr. Meekash Pradhan and Mr. Smaran Pradhan.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Tara Acharya, expressing gratitude to all individuals and authorities who contributed to the successful execution of the event.
Overall, the program was a meaningful and memorable experience, successfully achieving its objective of promoting cultural expression, creativity, and interactive learning among students.
