Lucky Selfie with Aama Competition Winners Felicitated

Pakyong, August 10 (IPR): As part of the public engagement initiatives under Aama Samman Diwas 2026, the Lucky Selfie with Aama competition was conducted by the Chief Minister’s Office to celebrate the priceless bond of love, affection and respect between mothers and their children.
The winners were selected through a computerised random selection process from all eligible entries, ensuring a fair and transparent selection.
The Chief Minister handed over the cheques to the winners and congratulated them on their participation and achievement. The top three winners were felicitated with cash prizes under the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Grant (CMDG). The winners are:
1. First Prize – ₹2,00,000: Mr Anurodh Rai, Amba, Pakyong
2. Second Prize – ₹1,50,000: Ms Budha Maya Limboo, Chong Zong, Gyalshing
3. Third Prize – ₹1,00,000: Mr Anup Sharma, Singbel, Makha, Gangtok
Seven consolation prize winners from various districts, including Soreng, Rongli, Namthang, Chungthang, Mangan and West Pendam, were also awarded ₹20,000 each.
The initiative encouraged citizens to capture and share meaningful moments with their mothers, reflecting the love, gratitude and cherished memories that define the mother-child relationship.
The Lucky Selfie with Aama initiative will return next year with upgraded cash prizes and a new “Best Photo” category, providing participants with an opportunity to showcase more creative, beautiful and memorable moments with their Aama.
