Hon’ble Governor attends State level Bal Vikash Sports and Cultural Meet at Khel Gaon

Gangtok, 20 Oct (IPR): Hon’ble Governor Shri Ganga Prasad attended the State level Bal Vikash Sports and Cultural Meet which was organized by Sri Satya Sai Sewa Organization Sikkim at Khel Gaon, Reshi. The Governor was accompanied by official from Raj Bhawan and other dignitaries.

The programme commenced with the prayer song invoking God’s blessing followed by lighting of lamp by the Governor.

During the event, the Governor received the salute of the parade and impressive march past presented by Bal Vikash children of six districts of the organization (Sri Satya Sai Sewa Organization).

Addressing the sports enthusiasts and Sai devotees, the Governor expressed his happiness to be among the children and Sai devotees. It is heartening to say that following the path of Sri Satya Sai, organization has been serving the society with spirituality, peace and maintained communal harmony among each other, he stated.

The Governor said that Sri Satya Sai Sewa Organization is leading towards enlightenment from the darkness of ignorance and praised the commendable work of the organization for their collective effort for engaging young children in spiritual, social and other activities.

While blessing the children for their future endeavors, the Governor urged the children to remain consistent in their effort to serve society for better tomorrow and nation building process. He called upon the Bal Vikash children to contribute towards the development of society, the State and nation at large.

The Governor emphasized on the importance of sports and yoga in everyone’s life and sports and cultural events will develop all round of developments like; body, mind and soul, which also build up communal harmony.

He opined that it is important to empower the young mind with knowledge with spirituality which will strengthen and developed the society at large.

Later, the Governor inaugurated Ambulance Sewa initiated by Sri Sathya Sai State Trust, Sikkim.

The programme was attended by Sai devotees from across the State.
