Sikkim Boxing Team Departs for 4th Sub-Junior (U-15) National Boxing Championship 2025
Siliguri, August 04:
The Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association proudly announces the departure of its talented team of young pugilists to participate in the 4th Sub-Junior (U-15) Boys’ & Girls’ National Boxing Championship 2025, scheduled to be held from 6th to 14th August 2025 at Galgotias University, Sector 17A, Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
A total of 18 promising boxers — comprising 10 boys and 8 girls — have been selected to represent the state at this prestigious national-level event. These young athletes have been rigorously training and preparing to showcase their skills, discipline, and determination on a national platform, aiming to bring laurels to Sikkim.
The team is accompanied by four officials, including coaches and team managers, who will guide and support the boxers throughout the championship.
The Sub-Junior National Championship serves as a critical foundation for identifying and nurturing grassroots-level talent, and Sikkim’s participation reflects the state’s growing commitment to promoting boxing among youth, especially in the sub-junior category.
The Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association extends its best wishes to the entire team and expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim, and all supporters for their continued encouragement and backing.
We are confident that our young athletes will uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and represent Sikkim with pride, passion, and perseverance
