Honb'le Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Mr. Indra Hang Subba attended the inaugural ceremony of National Integration Camp

Image may contain: 2 peopleNamchi, 24th Feburary(IPR): Honb'le Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Mr. Indra Hang Subba attended the inaugural ceremony of National Integration Camp at Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco Tourism Institute at Chemchey today. He was accompanied by Ms. Madhavi Agarwal, Hon'ble board of Governor, Member of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sangathan alongside Mr. Shivashish Bannerjee Director Sikkim Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mr. Satyan Kr Pradhan ADC (South), Mr. Muskan Rai District Co-ordinatory NYK Namchi, Officials, local gentry and children from various participating States.

Addressing, the gathering hon'ble MP Mr. Indra Hang Subba expressed his delight in being a part of this camp. He also spoke in brief about the theme of this program which is 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat' and urged the participants to follow this theme to its core. He spoke about the rich performance that the children showcased during the course of the program and said that India is endowed with abundant culture and tradition which should be kept intact. He encouraged the children to strive for integration, despite the different backgrounds that they come from.

Mr. Subba underlined the important responsibility that the youths of the country holds and emphasized that they should inculcate positive and progressive way of life in order for the country to run efficiently.
Additionally, he also touched upon the historical background of Sikkim and spoke about the states natural beauty, the essence of secularism and many welfare schemes that the Sikkim State Government has framed.

Speaking during the occasion Ms. Madhavi Agarwal spoke how this Integration camp is being organized at different parts of the country. She expressed how this camp will try and build a connection between youths belonging to different part of the country.

Mr. Shivashish Bannerjee mentioned that this integration camp is five days long. There are a total no of 16 states and more than 250 children are actively taking part in this camp. This camp is a part of the 23rd National Integration Camp which is being organized across the country. The objective of the camp is to create a mini-India, where youth interact in formal and informal settings and exchange their social and cultural uniqueness.
