Under the direction of the Government of Sikkim and the initiative of the Health Department, Government of Sikkim, a program for making and distributing Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) cards was successfully conducted today at the Mendogaon Aruboty Village Administrative Center under Soreng District on 7 th November 2025.
The drive specifically targeted elderly citizens above 70 years of age and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration card holders. During the event, Shri I.K. Chhetri, DHEO, District Hospital Gyalshing, addressed the gathering and informed attendees about the various benefits and provisions available under the PMJAY scheme.
More than 25 beneficiaries received their PMJAY cards during the program.
The Health Department has now initiated the PMJAY card-making process across all districts of Sikkim on a large scale, ensuring that eligible citizens can avail of the benefits of this flagship healthcare initiative.
