AYUSH Outreach Health Camp Held at Social Welfare Department, Gangtok
Gangtok, November 6, 2025: An AYUSH Outreach Health Camp was successfully organized today at the Social Welfare Department, Gangtok. The camp was conducted by the 10-bedded AYUSH Hospital, Sochakgang, under the Department of AYUSH, Government of Sikkim, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote holistic health and wellness among government employees.
The program featured comprehensive health consultations by AYUSH doctors, along with blood pressure monitoring and essential diagnostic tests, including haemoglobin and random blood sugar screening. Participants also received counselling sessions on healthy living, balanced nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices.
AYUSH medicines and immunity boosters such as Chyawanprash and AYUSH Kadha were also distributed to all beneficiaries. The camp recorded an encouraging participation, with a total of 130 staff members availing the healthcare services.
Such outreach initiatives by the Department of AYUSH are aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare and promoting overall well-being among the community through the principles of the AYUSH systems of medicine.
