Minister Shri Lok Nath Sharma handed over allotment order of Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana ( SGAY) to the identified beneficiaries of 14-Gyalshing Omchung Gram Panchayat Unit
Gyalshing, Nov 11(IPR): The Hon'ble Minister-cum-Area MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok constituency Shri Lok Nath Sharma handed over allotment order of Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana ( SGAY) to the identified beneficiaries of 14-Gyalshing Omchung Gram Panchayat Unit, today.
A total of nineteen households from all five wards of the GPU received the government benefits of SGAY disbursed by the Rural Development Department, Government of Sikkim in a special programme organised at Gyalshing Omchung Gram Prashasanik Kendra.
Minister in his address, articulated the quality construction of SGAY and said that the State Government has conceptualized a well-furnished residential house along with the facilities of Television, Kitchen Dining, Sittingroom, Bedroom and other additional attractive components under the scheme. He also reiterated beneficiaries to be fully honest and responsible to ensure quality construction of their own physical assets.
The State Government under the leadership of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) has been putting all efforts for the socio-economic upliftment of the villagers, he added.
He also informed that a Gram Sabha under Gram Panchayat Development Programme (GPDP) will be held in near future and enlightened villagers to ensure cent percentage attendance to put up their proposal for social development. He also informed about the upcoming developmental works within the GPU. He also encouraged farmers to increase cultivation area in their private land. Further, he highlighted the improved scenario seen in the health sector at District Hospital Gyalshing, enhancement of Old Age Pension and other notable facilities.
In his concluding remarks, Minister Shri Sharma extended his best wishes and warm greetings of Deepawali festival.
