Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang welcomed the newly appointed Hon'ble Advisors, Chairpersons and Chairmen at a programme held at Samman Bhawan

Gangtok, September 17(IPR): Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang welcomed the newly appointed Hon'ble Advisors, Chairpersons and Chairmen at a programme held at Samman Bhawan, today.
The programme was also attended by Hon'ble Deputy Speaker SLA, Shri Sangay Lepcha, Hon'ble Cabinet Ministers, Political Secretary to HCM, MLAs, Advisors, Chairpersons, Chairmen, Chief Secretary Shri S. C. Gupta, Principal Secretary Home, Shri R. Telang, Secretary to HCM, officials and staff.
The Chief Minister in his address said that the Advisors and Chairpersons have equal responsibilities and roles to play in the decision-making process of the State as well as to deliberate and decide on the various programmes and policies of the State Government. The Chief Minister also spoke on roles and responsibilities, effective participation, inclusiveness in taking the welfare measures and other policies and schemes of the State and Central Government so that it percolates down to the grass-root level. He further mentioned that all should collectively work for the betterment of the State and also called for close coordination and cooperation from them to ensure the overall development of the State.
The Hon'ble Chief Minister in his address also extended his greetings on the occasion of Bishwakarma puja and also conveyed his warm wishes to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday.
The Chief Secretary Shri S. C. Gupta in his address spoke about the importance of elected and non elected representatives in a vibrant democracy. He added that the policy decision will aid the development and welfare of the State with their rich experience in public life.
Earlier, Principal Secretary Home, Shri. R. Telang presented the welcome address and the vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary to HCM, Shri S.D. Dhakal.
