Entrepreneurs’ Interaction Meet Strengthens Innovation and Startup Ecosystem in Sikkim
Gangtok, June 7 (IPR): As part of the Sikkim INSPIRES initiative, the Rural Development Department, Government of Sikkim, organised an Entrepreneurs’ Interaction Meet in collaboration with ALSISAR IMPACT, Mumbai, at a local Bakery in Gangtok.
The programme brought together entrepreneurs, innovators, and startup founders from across Gangtok District, providing a dynamic platform for meaningful dialogue, networking, and knowledge exchange. The interaction aimed to foster collaboration among emerging enterprises while strengthening the state’s growing innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
A key highlight of the event was the participation of fellows from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, who engaged with local entrepreneurs and innovators. The discussions focused on design thinking, innovation-driven solutions, and opportunities for collaborative ventures that can contribute to sustainable economic growth in the region.
The meet witnessed participation from entrepreneurs, innovators, and startup founders representing diverse sectors across Gangtok District, who shared their experiences, challenges, and ideas during the interaction. It may be noted that Shem’s Guitar Workbench, a first-of-its-kind venture in Sikkim engaged in guitar crafting, servicing and repair, was also among the participating enterprises at the interaction meet.
The Entrepreneurs’ Interaction Meet served as an important networking platform under the Sikkim INSPIRES programme, encouraging partnerships, sharing of ideas, and ecosystem-building among stakeholders from diverse sectors.
