EVMS FOR UPCOMING GENERAL ELECTIONS, 2024 UNDERGOES FIRST PHASE OF RANDOMIZATION
Soreng, March 23 (IPR): The first phase of randomization of EVMs for upcoming General Elections, 2024 for the district was carried out today, in the presence of Ms Yishey D Yongda (DEO cum DC Soreng) along with Mr Dhiraj Subedi (Deputy DEO cum ADC Soreng), Mr DR Bista (SDM, HQ), Mr. BB Rai (Nodal Officer/ EVM Management cum RO/AD) and the representatives of all Political Parties at the Warehouse at Kyongsa, Gyalshing district.
Prior to the Randomization process, Political Party representatives were briefed in detail by the DEO about the procedures of randomization of machines as well as the objectives set by the Election Commission of India to ensure free & fair Elections during entire the Electoral process.
The randomization of the EVMs were carried out several time until the optimal satisfaction of the Political Party representatives.
Thereafter, the randomized machines (EVMs and VVPATs) for Soreng District have been shifted to the District Strong Room located at B. Ed. College, Soreng and was sealed in the presence of all political party representatives.
