78,682 Enumeration Forms Distributed Across Gangtok District Under SIR 2026
Gangtok, June 7 (IPR): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of Electoral Rolls is progressing steadily across Gangtok District, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducting door-to-door distribution of Enumeration Forms for the preparation of an accurate and inclusive electoral roll.
Demonstrating strong commitment, BLOs are reaching households across urban and rural areas of Gangtok District, often navigating challenging terrain and monsoon conditions, to ensure that every eligible elector is covered under the revision exercise.
As per the status report as of today, a cumulative total of 78,682 Enumeration Forms have been distributed across the district, covering 64.37 per cent of the total electorate of 1,22,240 electors.
The constituency-wise distribution of Enumeration Forms is as follows:
16-Tumen-Lingi: 12,409
17-Khamdong-Singtam: 9,237
23-Shyari: 10,526
24-Martam-Rumtek: 14,585
25-Upper Tadong: 7,353
26-Arithang: 7,187
27-Gangtok: 6,637
28-Upper Burtuk: 8,734
32-Sangha: 2,014
A total of 182 BLOs have been deployed for the exercise. Additionally, 4,603 Enumeration Forms have been digitised, while 397 forms have been submitted by electors and are pending verification by BLOs.
The distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms will continue till June 28, 2026. Electors are encouraged to cooperate with BLOs and submit duly filled forms within the stipulated period to ensure the smooth conduct of the revision process.
