       The Department of Information Technology ,Govt.    of  Sikkim would like to thank all sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and visitors for making SIKITEX  '09 a great success. We had over 7000 visitors for the event. The feedback that we have obtained from everyone has been encouraging.
     It is understood that many exhibitors struck business alliances and deals with local entrepreneurs and business

 men. For the visitors the exhibition was an eye opener on what is happening in the field of Information Technology. The parallel Technical sessions that we had ,threw up many issues &

The Government of Sikkim has placed Information Technology high on its agenda. The Government aims at empowering citizens through e-governance and making Sikkim a favorite Information Technology destination. With this in mind, the Department of Information Technology, Government of Sikkim organized “SIKITEX 09”, a two day IT Fair and Exhibition on 17^th and 18^th September 2009 at Gangtok –Sikkim.

The broad objective of organizing this event has been to bridge the gap between the companies and the customers of all segments. ”SIKITEX 09”  provided market exposure to various companies and enabled them to set up business in Sikkim. With  rapid modernization taking place in the state ,there is an immense demand for new technologies both in the Government as well as the private sector.
