04.08.2026 – The Department of AYUSH, Government of Sikkim, District Hospital Singtam.
Ayurvidya: An AYUSH School Health Program was conducted at Senior Secondary School, Singtam, by the AYUSH Division of District Hospital Singtam.
Total Participants: 130 students (Class 9)
Keynote:
1. AYUSH awareness.
2. Career counselling on AYUSH.
3. A brief introduction to Dinacharya, Ritucharya, Achar and Vichar, and nutrition.
4. Mental health – signs and symptoms, anxiety-relieving methods (grounding and balloon-bursting techniques). Students were advised to limit screen time, and the Tele-MANAS helpline number was shared.
5. Simple yoga breathing techniques for stress and anxiety relief.
6. Question-and-answer session.
7. Gifts and refreshments were distributed.
8. Feedback session.
