AYUSH Outreach Health Camp for Police & Fire Department Personnel – Jorethang Division

The AYUSH Department, CHC Jorethang, organised an AYUSH Outreach Health Camp for the personnel of the Police Department and Fire Department of Jorethang Division, in Collaboration with Health Department. The camp aimed to promote preventive healthcare and encourage the early detection of common non-communicable and communicable diseases among frontline workers.
The programme included free AYUSH medical consultation and comprehensive health screening, including BMI assessment, blood pressure measurement for hypertension, diabetes screening, tuberculosis screening, HIV, HCV, VDRL testing, and also ECG examination wherever indicated. Free AYUSH medicines were also distributed to beneficiaries based on clinical assessment.
As part of the health promotion activities, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) sessions was conducted on healthy living through Dinacharya (daily regimen), the importance of regular physical activity under the Yoga 360 initiative, and awareness regarding the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Participants were encouraged to adopt healthier lifestyle practices and actively participate in preventive healthcare measures.
The outreach camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the police and fire department personnel and reinforced the commitment of the AYUSH Department towards promoting holistic health and wellness among frontline service providers.
